It doesn't have to be this way
Thyroid disease. It is so common. I can't even count the number of people in my immediate circle who suffer from it. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 20. I've had it for half my life. A year ago, I was re-diagnosed with Hashimoto's. For the most part it's manageable. When my medication is right, my symptoms are minimal. Weight gain is in check. Night sweats are under control. I can actually stay awake during the day. My skin is still dry, but it's all manageable. There was forever ONE EXCEPTION. My Hair.
Since I was a little girl I always had amazing hair. It's what everyone noticed. It has always been long, shiny, smooth, thick and naturally very blonde. I remember when I was a teenager and I was in Kansas City for the wedding of a family friend. I was getting ready in the hotel room and was drying my hair. I can still see the massive amounts of hair that had fallen onto the floor and being in tears. I had no idea why. What in the world was happening?
Over the next 20 years, it was the same story. Constant hair fall. The amount I would lose in the shower was alarming. I tried vitamins. We adjusted my medication. I even did a stint with minoxidil. My poor vacuum cleaner was constantly tangled with long blonde hair. The endocrinologist would just nod and say "there's really nothing we can do".
6 months ago, a friend gave me a sample of some shampoo. She offered it to me because I had asked how it was possible that her hair had grown so much since I last saw her. She told me something about it "growing hair". I used the samples and my hair looked and felt amazing. Over the next 3 days, at least 5 people asked me what I had done to my hair. Two of them even asked me if I had highlighted it (nope. never have). I got my friend on the phone and started asking questions.
So here I sit, 6 months into my journey. My hair growing back. The volume fuller than it's ever been. The overall health and appearance noticeable to others - not just me. And all I want to do is SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS! You don't have to give up. You don't have to use chemical filled shampoos and sprays. There is something. Finally.
If you are suffering from hair loss for any reason - heredity, postpartum, alopecia, hormonal, thyroid...male or female...and you aren't ready to give up, let's chat.

Looking back, it's clear now that it was the thyroid condition which had yet to be diagnosed.

In my twenties I even went for a consultation for medical hair restoration. I mean.

Turns out, what the medical doctors couldn't do for me, a naturally plant-based haircare line could.
