It doesn't have to be this way

Thyroid disease.  It is so common.  I can't even count the number of people in my immediate circle who suffer from it.  I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 20.  I've had it for half my life.  A year ago, I was re-diagnosed with Hashimoto's.  For the most part it's manageable.  When my medication is right, my symptoms are minimal.  Weight gain is in check.  Night sweats are under control.  I can actually stay awake during the day.  My skin is still dry, but it's all manageable.  There was forever ONE EXCEPTION.  My Hair. Since I was a little girl I always had amazing hair.  It's what everyone noticed.  It has always been long, shiny, smooth, thick and naturally very blonde.  I remember when I was a teenager and I was in Kansas City for the wedding of a family friend.  I was getting ready in the hotel room and was drying my hair.  I can still see the massive amounts of hair that had fall...
